Proceeds are earmarked for upgrades and maintenance of the trail. All events will be held entirely within the park, with the 5K being a 2-loop course. Formerly the Bicentennial 5K, the course is out-and-back from the Train Depot and will be run on both trail and city streets. (There also will be a Kids’ Tunnel Fun Run at 10:00 a.m.) Proceeds will benefit the Rails-to-Trails Project and The Barnesville High School cross-country and track teams. The entry fee is $16 until 04/25/09 ($20). Saturday, May 16th (9:30 a.m.) 2nd Annual RunWalkRoll 10 year marathon (Wheeling).  The 2.62 mile race will be held at Oglebay Park, starting and ending at the Levenson Shelter.  All proceeds benefit the Free Wheelchair Mission, a nonprofit organization that provides free wheelchairs to those in need around the world.  The entry fee is $15 for adults, $10 for those 12 and under, and $20 for all on race day. Online registration is available at www.runwalkandroll.com.  Applications can be printed from the web site. Race day registration and packet pick up will be from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. at the Levenson Shelter, located just past the Good Zoo.  Timing will be provided by George Frazier. Prize money and race medals will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female runners and walkers.  The top 2 male and female runners in age groups of 5 will also receive medals. T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 entrants.  There will be complimentary food and refreshments for all race participants.
