Why PACE?
PACE( Parents for Autism Community Education) is a non-profit organization committed to raising money to bring experts in the field of autism to the Ohio Valley to present free training parents, families, school personnel, and anyone in the community with a need or desire to learn about autism. Education and awareness are vital so that those with autism can be understood, accepted, and ultimately helped by their families, schools, and communities.
One of our current goals is to raise enough money to hire Dennis Debbaudt who does training specifically for first response agencies such as policemen, firemen, EMT's etc. We are also organizing a college fair to be held next spring for all juniors and seniors with specail needs. In addition to acquiring speakers, PACE will purchase books and DVD's form out local libraries..
Our next fundraiser will be the 2nd annual Awesome Autism run/walk to be held in Bellaire on Saturday, September 4th. at 8:30am. You can also follow us on Facebook.
