OVRWC Minutes Meeting - Tuesday, November 4, 2008 7:00 pm

· Dennis Delbert Opened the meeting with recent board meeting discussions. The following boards members were present:
Dennis Delbert, President, Tom Rownd, 1st. VP, Denny Stephan, 2nd. VP Diane Basich, Secretary, Marti Stephan, Treasurer, John Bartsch,
Membership, Angela Zambito, co-editor, and Bill Freyler, Communications
The Board discussed the following issues:
· Marti Stephan Treasurers Report was given. OVRC Checking $4,842.68, Savings - $3,305.28, Petty Cash - $68.07. 12 month CD $2,274.06, 3 Month CD $1,119.07. Overall total $11,609.16
Note: Balance total will change due to current race event disbursements.
· Dennis Delbert- the meeting continued with the board meeting discussions regarding the above issues.
New Club Race
Race director, Angela Zambito presented her race Race for Hope to the club members. The race will be sponsored by the Catholic Charities of WV. It will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, 9:00 am start. The race course will be similar to the Centre Town race.
Race Director Agreement -
· Denny Stephan presented to the club the agreement that was complied by the board directors.
1. Item #6 discussion regarding the correct wording
2. Paragraph #3 - could be possibly omitted.
After club member discussion, Denny and the board will meet at a later date and address the above changes.
· Tom Rownd spoke to the club regarding the success of the Auggies 5K. He reported that he had 234 participants registered for the run/walk. He also spoke of the need for volunteers at the Turkey Trot 5K.
· Cindy Foose spoke to the club regarding the next meeting, and a Christmas Party that she is organizing for that evening. Everyone was asked to write down what they planned to bring for the party.
· Rod Miller spoke to the club regarding the Sunday morning run at Barkcamp. Rod and fellow runners meet at the Barkcamp office at 8:30 am. Denise Miller shared with the club the upcoming Barkcamp 10K Trail run for next year. With all necessary paperwork completed co-directors, Rod Miller and Cindy Foose were approved by the RRCA for their race to be a State of Ohio Trail Championship race. Congratulations Rod & Cindy!
· Dennis Delbert continued with the nomination of officers for 2009. He also commented the board will now meet the last Wednesday of the month, prior to the next club meeting.

As a system for Quality Assurance, a motion was made by Tom Rownd to develop a new position to work with the treasurer. Second by Bill Freyler. Motion carried. The position was entitled, Quality Assurance Manager. Angela Zambito was nominated for the position.

· Meri Cummins spoke to the club regarding her concern about the club website. She felt that we might need the assistance from a Webmaster. She suggested the club hire a Webmaster. A motion was made by Tom Rownd, second by Bill Freyler, that in the event technical assistance is needed by web page designer, Dennis Delbert, the technical assistance would be subject to board approval. Motion carried.
· Tom Rownd - made a motion to the club regarding a new position to be created for club recognition. The position would be entitled, Awards Coordinator. Second by Marti Stephan. Motion carried. Angie Amaya, Denise Miller and Mike Hudimac were nominated by club members.
· Dennis Delbert spoke to the club regarding OVRWC T-shirts were still available. They are free of charge to a club member who would volunteer for 3 club races.
Next meeting, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 7:00 pm Edgewood Lutheran Church.
