OVRWC Minutes – Tuesday, June 3, 2008 – 7:00 pm
Members present – 17
- Dennis Delbert –thanked all the club members
who volunteered their time to help with the Friday Night Activities during
the Ogden 20K. The evening events went rather smoothly.
- Angie Zambito – spoke to the club regarding a
new event with the club. She has organized a run/walk for fun that ill be
held every Monday evening at 5:00 pm. The group will gather at Heritage
Port, flagpole area, and will run a 5 mile course. Angie suggested the club
offer a possible raffle to those attending the run. A club membership would
be something the club could offer in a raffle.
Angie will give a progress report
at the July meeting.
- Dennis Delbert – Dennis introduced Harry
Foose. Harry presented information regarding the 2008 Triathlon / Duathlon
sponsored by the Faith in Action Caregivers. The event will be held at
Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, WV on Saturday, July 12th.
Race begins at 7:30 am. Applications were given to all interested club
members.
- Tom Rownd - Tom introduced Kim Butler, Exercise
Physiologist, OUE. Kim spoke to the club about total fitness.
A question/answer session
followed his presentation.
Refreshments were served.
